30 Years On: An Exhibition of Artwork by Norman Kaplan
As we mark three decades since South Africa’s stride towards freedom, ACTSA invites you to the compelling exhibition, “All Shall Be Afforded Dignity”, showcasing the impactful artwork of Norman Kaplan. This free event is part of a commemorative program celebrating 30 years of South Africa’s liberation and will take place at The Crypt Gallery in the renowned St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London. The exhibition is scheduled to run from 22 April to 6 May 2024, open daily from 11 am to 5 pm, with the exception of being closed to the public on 25 April.
Norman Kaplan’s linocut prints and cartoons convey a potent message about the enduring quest for dignity and justice, mirroring the challenges faced across Southern Africa. Kaplan’s art speaks volumes to our collective conscience, reminding us that the journey towards equality is ongoing and that solidarity remains our strongest tool.
