The Guardian have covered the release of a new report by the Jubilee Debt Campaign, ‘Preventing and resolving sovereign debt crises: Stop bailing out reckless lenders‘. ACTSA contributed to and signed onto this report, alongside over 30 other civil society organisations. The new report finds that the IMF is spending $93 billion bailing out reckless lenders. By incentivising lenders to act recklessly, the IMF is ensuring the cycle of debt crises continues.
