Volunteer Fundraising & Events Assistant

HOURS: 4-6 hours per week (flexible)

START DATE: Mid July/August (flexible)

ACTSA is looking for a highly organised, motivated individual with an interest in fundraising and events to support the preparation of the ACTSA annual fundraising dinner. If you are interested in fundraising and events and have a passion for social justice, rights, equality and development then why not apply to volunteer with the ACTSA team.

In this role you will be assisting the ACTSA team in the preparation and events production for the ACTSA annual fundraising dinner. You will be helping to coordinate logistics, contacting donors and speakers, and contributing to press and marketing for the event. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a well-established NGO in events production for a formal fundraising event. From conception to delivery there will be the opportunity to learn on the job, developing organisational, time-management and communication skills.

In previous years the event has been held in South African High Commission in Trafalgar Square and is regularly attended by anti-apartheid activists, politicians, senior diplomats and those with an interest in the region. The event is the biggest in the ACTSA calendar, and an opportunity for us to celebrate the years achievements and thank our supporters as well as fundraise for the important campaigning and advocacy work on Southern Africa.

If you are interested in applying for the position please email a cover letter of no more than 1 A4 page and CV to  robyn.kasozi@actsa.org
